Analysing feedback and questions asked:
I think overall I gained positive feedback about my pitch from the clients, however, the clients did raise a few questions which defiantly helped extend my ideas and how I could develop this product in line with the feedback I gained.
The first question/feedback I received from my client after the pitch was "Where is the gap in the market for this idea, and why now?" In responses to this I told the clients that there is nothing similar to this prosecute out there, I mentioned we have apps that allow us to buy clothing (Vintage or branded) and apps that allow us to listen to new music videos/interviews (Youtube, Vevo) but there is nothing that brings those two peopler demands together. Because this idea sues convergence of two products making it more excitable for the audience. I think this was a useful question/feedback as it allowed me to understand I need to go more in depth about where the gap is and why there is this gap in the market for this idea.
The next question/feedback I received from the client was "How are you going to be making a profit?" In response to the client I mentioned there would be two way in which we do this (excluding the payment for the app which I had mentioned) The first one being the user would see advertisement on the app, for example after the videos the user has watched, there would be advertisement and this would be a way of how we would make revenue. We would also place pop up adverts when the user clicks on to other pages on the application. The second way I mentioned how we would make revenue would be by gaining a percentage of every clothing piece sold on our platform, so, for example, the user would be buying a TopMan item but they would have to buy it through our app and we place a higher payment than the original price, so we can make a losing profit on every item sold. I think by explaining these ideas of how we would create the revenue impressed the clients, I also think this question/feedback was very helpful in the development of my pitch and has allowed me to be more clear on how we will make money through the app. To further improve my pitch I would add a detailed slide on revenue and how the money would be made as this would benefit the client as they could get a clear understanding.
The third question/feedback I received was from the third client who asked "How are you going to market this product?" in response to this question/feedback I stated we would do this in a number of ways, but primality sticking to social media as this is cost effective and effective to gain an audience. Unfortunately, in the pitch, I skipped over it by mistake, but when asked at the end I said we would use, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. When talking about Snapchat I mentioned there would be a 'slide up feature' which allows the suet to download straight away. However the main marketing tool I want to use is Youtube, we would use synergy to work with YouTuber's who post about clothing or music, the idea was we would sponsor their videos and give them a discount code to give to their audience members, this is because they will have a similar target audience age as we do, this would be very beneficial to the app as well as the YouTuber promoting the product. To improve my pitch I think I need to ensure I am aware which slide I am but when it came to the question at the end I need to make sure I am clear and thorough to how I would market it, especially on a platform such as YouTube. I think this was a useful point and it helped me develop my pitch further and explain how I was going to market it as well as use synergy.
I think in conclusion the feedback and questions given wont effective the end product or the feasibility of it and I think this product is still viable this is because The questions/feedback I gained allowed me to find the small mistakes I made in the pitch and build on that rather than the actual product itself, the actual product itself is still a viable product as I have talked about and consider all feedback and questions discussed. However, If I were to pitch the idea again I would need to reconsider some of the slides used or perhaps add some slides in so I am more detailed and the client understands what I would be doing. After gaining this feedback I still believe the app I have designed Is still viable but I will need to improve the pitch to fully sell the idea to the client.
How I will develop my proposal in regards to the feedback given:
If I did the pitch again, I would add more information in regards to the feedback I received. So, for example, I would go more in-depth about marketing the product, unique selling point and making the profit. By adding these in it will allow the client to fully understand the app and will make them feel more confident in commissioning it. By adding how I would market it such as what social media it would use, also in regards to unique selling point I need to be clear on what it is, and lastly by being more clear on how I would be making a profit. Here are the slides I would add into the pitch to ensure the clients are happy with the product and it follows their feedback:
