P3: Develop ideas for sound elements for an identified purpose.
Spider diagram
Formulate and create an idea for your audio production.
My idea:
I have chosen Brief 1, which is to create a promotional audio piece for Kent peg well bay as they have recently discovered the landing point if Julius Caesar. The audio advert starts of with wind blowing, rain falling hard, seagulls calling and waves crashing. We then hear Julius Caesar shout a quote from his journal, this is then followed by loud swords and shields crashing together as they begin to fight the British. people are running on to the beach we hear sand under neath the feet as they shout "attack!". We hear steady drum beats slowly rising throughout this segment. It then all comes to a sudden stop and we hear the sound of a tape deck rewinding and the suddenly a females voice is heard expelling to the audience all about their new museum on Julius Caesar, through this speech were hear facts about the museum (opening times, artefacts etc) The music in this will be uprising piano music, very soft piece of music that keeps us intrigued and calmed down from the previous segment

How does your idea meet the brief?
My idea meets the brief as I have planned all the sound effects to match what the client is looking for, for example in my idea I state that I will be using the sound effect of waves crashing, rain falling, sailors shouting, the army shouting and Ill even be using Julius Caesar Himself in my extract, Julius Caesar will be the main voice at the end of the piece. During this segment of the audio track there is going to be uprising drums this will create tension and keep the audience engaged throughout.
The piece then rewinds and we have the narrator telling us all about the new extraction, I am also adding soft peen music to keep the audience engaged, this piano piece will relax the audience whilst the narrator tells us the facts, opening times and artefacts they keep in the new museum this here is falling the clients brief as It clearly states in the brief this is what is wanted.

Pegwell Bay in Kent is now believed to be the site where Julius Caesar invaded Britain. He would have been met by a British fleet who fought but then retreated!
This was a major news event for Pegwell Bay and to celebrate this new finding, the people of Kent have opened a new museum that they would like to promote and they have approached you to create a new 1minute radio promotional advertisement for the museum.
They would also like you to suggest a new name for the museum within the campaign. The local council would also like to hear part of the landings - sea, sailors, invaders, bad weather, dramatic music and maybe even Julius himself - maybe an extract from his journal.
The museum is open to the public for free every weekday between 9am and 5pm and contains all manor of historical artefacts found at the local dig including swords, shields and various bits of armour.

M1: Identify solutions to the legal and ethical issues for production
Below is a talent release form I have created, this will need to be signed by my voiceover actress so there are no legal issues when sharing the product.

Evidence solutions
By following the client’s brief I will upload the finished product to Soundcloud and Youtube. I have created release forms, similar to the voice acting forms, to protect my work. I will be adding my information and all key sound rights to each uploaded piece, this will ensure people understand that I was the main creator and so if they would like to use that sound they would need to ask permission.
Royalties and Copyright
Some considerations I will need to take in when editing my promotional audio is the music I will be wanting to use. In my assets table, I put that I wanted upbeat/happy music at the end, I will be sourcing this music from a royalty free youtube channel, which means once I distribute my product which will be on youtube or Soundcloud, all I have to do is reference the royalty free music I used. Or in some cases, the royalty payments and copyright have to be taken into consideration when distributing the product.
However If I were to use music from a well know band/artist, I would need PPL which is (Phonographic Performance LTD) this is basically a licensing company that allow the use of any music within your product. This works by; every time the product is played that being online or the radio that band or artist will get a percentage that way they can get paid from their music being used. I would also need to consider PRS which makes sure I can definitely use the piece of music that is being played and then distribute the royalties.
But because I am using royalty free music from YouTube, all I have to do is reference the artist by either putting their channel in the description, or the song that I am using. I also need to clearly state in the description that this song is copyright free and where to find the song being used. I will do this either in the description of Soundcloud or Youtube, where ever I distribute the product.
