Looking at usages of social media.
What is Web 1.0, Web 2.0 and web 3.0 ?:
Web 1.0 used to be text based websites which meant they had no photos on or videos, only text for the viewer. Both web 2.0 and 3.0 use loads of photos and videos this makes it more appealing to prosumers rather than consumers, as prosumers could start creating a business out of web 2.0 and 3.0 and create jobs out of it. Web 3.0 however is much more technical for example web 3.0 collects data and creates more personalised adverts on line to the user - For example the could advertise universities and courses that interest you, due to where you live in the country and what you like and click on online. Web 3.0 also allows users to make their own content (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook etc...) for the consumers online.
Key words:
- Hypertext - Text which contains links, which was common and began on read-only websites of Web 1.0 (Web 1.0 would only use hypertext, text and maybe a company logo)
- Collaboration - Web 2.0 allowed producers to use social media / networks to work together on large products (A lot of these products would be done over seas and this was help from web 2.0)
- Prosumer - An amateur producer who used online / Digital technologies to create and distribute media products. (Vloggers, Youtube, Vimeo)
- Semantic web - The way by Web 3.0 machines are allowed to understand the meaning of hyperlinked information to personalise content to audiences.
Benefits of Web 3.0

Negatives:
