Final draft -
This is my final script edit with the correct code and conventions of script writing. The difference between my final script edit and the draft edit is I aded a title page of what the name of the promotional video will be and also who wrote it, this is because whoever is reading can know who wrote it and what it is called this also helps in case someone tries to use my work in the future they can be done for copyright as I am the owner of this piece. I also added scene number to my final draft than just the scene headings this allows anyone who is reading it to understand which part of the script goes where. I also categorised each bit of text. In my final draft I corrected all spelling mistakes this is to make it as professional as possible.

Consideration of mise-en-scene
Lighting: For lighting I will be using the natural light from the outdoors, as all of my shots will be done outside. And if it is sunny then the sun in each shot will make the shot look very aesthetically pleasing.
Setting: For my setting I am going to be filming in the most beautiful parts of Cambridge to show its beauty instead of any industrial places as this won't make it look as beautiful. I ann wanting to show what Cambridge has to offer.
Location: The location has to be Cambridge as this is where I am filming my promotional video and where the client wants it to be filmed.
Props: The only prop I will be using will be a punt this is for the river shot where I will need to get a shot of the river and the surrounding.

Legal and Ethical Issues
How are you representing the actors or place?
I am trying to represent Cambridge in a positive light for example adding beautiful scenery of Cambridge to make the audience to come and visit Cambridge. Throughout the promotional video I will avoid all thing that have negative connotations to for example broken glass or places where smoke is pouring out of the chimneys because this is not seemed to be something that is nice, I will be making sure I add all of the old buildings in Cambridge that have historical background to them as well as the river cam as this is what Cambridge is know for. In the promotional video there is a scene where the shot will be on a punt (this is a river boat) I am doing this shot to show that there are many fun things to do in Cambridge and there are so many things to do and see. By making it aesthetically pleasing I am going to make sure I film on a day which is sunny so all the surroundings like nice and make people want to come and visit. I am also hoping to film some of the colleges in Cambridge, this would be good as this is one thing Cambridge is know for, so f I film the colleges in a certain way to make it look beautiful and interesting, tourists will want to come and visit Cambridge.
How will you make sure this is a positive representation?
I will be making sure this is a positive representation by not filming any negative shots or any shot that has negative connotations, this is because I don want to give a vibe to the audience that Cambridge is a dodgy place and a place which they should be scared of. I am also going to make sure the voiceover is calm and jolly instead of serious and have a really monotone voice as this could make the audience feel it is a dangerous place and not actually very exciting. I will also be making sure this is a positive representation as when I'm filming I will film on a sunny day, this will make the audience happy and intrigued about Cambridge.
How will you make sure your product won’t get banned?
I will be making sure my product won't get banned by falling the clients brief exactly as well as following what the client wanted to see and how they wanted Cambridge to be portrayed. By doing this the product will not get banned. I also need to be careful of any legal issues I may run in to for example using brands in my promotional video without getting permission from the certain company.
Do you have a location permission form for your company?
I have permission to film on location, I emailed them all and they all said yes.

The ASA/OFCOM are in charge of your finished product. Find any three of their rulings which MIGHT apply to your product and
Write the details (or screen grab) the rulings and then say why these might be similar to your product, then say what you intend to do so that complaints DO NOT arise.
1:
The first ruling I found that will apply to my promotional video, was an advertisement by Iceland foods. In there advert is said “FAT bastard” for there brand of wine, this was complained as it was deemed to be offence language and the advert may be seen by young children which is inappropriate. The advertisement was not upheld and the ASA said they should take my care with there advertisement as it uses foul language and can be marketed to the wrong demographic. I think this can apply to my promotional video as I want my product to be seen on a wide spread to hundreds of people and if it has any bad language it can give a bad reputation to children but also as its a promotional video there are some issues that are ethical for example showing bad language to young children as the BBFC rating says it should be rated a ’15’ if it has any bad language in it. The promotional video could be taken down by the ASA if it has bad language. To stop it getting a ruling or band by the ASA I need to look and change anything in the script which either has bad language and can easily offended anyone so the audience can feel comfortable watching it.
2:
Another ruling that will apply to my video, was an advertisement by www.lastminute.com. Where there ad offered a package deal, flying and accommodation all for £569 however when one customer went to book this deal she was told the deal was no longer available and that she would have to pay an additional £70.77, and said the price claim was misleading. The ruling was upheld. This could relate to my product as if I gave things to do for people and gave set prices and those prices changes this could misleading material, or If i say there are certain things to do, but when the product is released some of those things have been shut down or you can’t do them, this again is misleading. To prevent this I will do research into the things I said people could do and make sure none of the viewers are misled.
3:
A ruling that may apply to my promotional video is a Beauty Company advert. In their advert they had a claim stating that they had methods that could help infertility. Someone complained asking whether or not if the claim was true or not. ASA researched into that claim and said that The Beauty Company released false information . The Beauty Company had to take down the advert and get rid of the information. This may apply to my promotional video because I need to make sure that all of the facts and information I have on my video are true and not false information. To make sure I am not questioned by ASA I need to make sure all information is accurate and not fake. To do this i need to use accurate website that don’t have fake information and is right, I would have to try and avoid websites like wikipedia as anyone can edit it easily. However for my Job I have to give a tour of Cambridge on the Punts and have to learn all the information on the tour and all of this info is accurate, so my facts I learnt from my job will be my first source.
Apply legal and ethical issues from Unit 2 here - which ones are relevant and why? What actions will you take to make sure you don't get into trouble.
Copyright issues play a big role and is very relevant to my promotional video, I will make sure all the content I use is not copyrighted and if I do use any content which isn't mine I will make sure I have permission to use it. I also need to make sure no one uses my work either, to make sure no one use my content I need to patent my content, once I've done this it mean no one can copy my video and use it as theres. Intellectual property act is also relevant to my promotional video because the promotional video belongs to me as I was the one who created it and I don't belong to a company so they can't take my work and say its there. However as Im working with Cambridge county council and the are the people who came up with creating a promotional video the video can belong to them. A legal issue which is also relevant would be the data protection act, the data protection act means I can't share anyones private data with business or the government. The reason why the dat protection act is relevant to my promotional video is because I need to be careful who I sure my crews data to, for example I can't give out emails or personal information such as medical history to random people. I also need to keep the data safe making sure I don't releases any of their data to the public or broadcast any of their data.
Because the data protection act has all of their data such as medical history, religious beliefs and criminal records I can't by bias towards them or black mail them to do something, as I have there data and information. I also can't hold on to the data for a long period of time, I would either have to give it back to them after the production or shred them so no on see them. I can't mis use any of the data either as this could lead to a law suit for being unethical and releasing personal data.
