In 1905 - In Pittsburgh people visited the first film (Nickelodeon) Played with piano in the background.
1909 the first UK cinema had opened.
1914 - several national film industries were established
1932 - first major film festival

1951 - The first video tape recorder was invented
1977 - The first VHS Tape was released in north America.

1930s - vinyls where very popular until the cassette tape was released in 1970s
1970s - cassette tape
1981 - CDS where released and by 1990s they where the most popular distribution.
The digital era saw people download illegally online that being MP3 files.
Spotify was created in 2008 allowing easier download through an application that is fully licensed, this is also meant all music artist where paid through the company.
Youtube was released in 2005 which also had music and music videos shared online. However this did mean some copies of the music might be copyrighted and reposted for someone else's personal use.

1933 - American newspaper didn't want news to be broadcasted on the radio but instead carrying on being printed on papers.
1967 - Saw the age computer being used to research any news
In 1991 the BBC news website was launched
2010 the BBC news app is released
2014 all online news becomes more popular rather than newspaper.
Newspaper start to move towards online
Newspapers also made their broadsheets much more smaller
Because a lot of newspaper wants online, this meant their was a large amount of jobs being lost

1900 their was a weak transmission over airwaves
1901 was the first successful transatlantic radio communication
1935 FM was created however it was only MONO (one side of the speaker)
1980s pirate radio became big, music was played in
AM, FM, DAB, MW
Early 2000s saw radio moving to apps, allowing you to listen to any station
Then in 2005 internet radio was born
2010 - DAB radio
2016 radio can be heard on all smartphones and online.

In the 1830s was the first animation that was a Zoetrope which is basically a spinning wheel with pictures in.
1914 was the very first key frame animation
Steam boat willie was Disneys first animation in 1928, it also contained synced sounds. Disney then released Snow White as there first feature length film.
1913 rotoscoping
The Flintstones was released in 1960s as the first ever cartoon animated series ever.
1987 simpsons was released and still to this day they ere still creating content.
In 1995 Toy Story was released placing animation at a whole new level, with the way it was created.

From looking at the brief, I have decided to do Task 3 which is:
Choice 3: An app which works with UK music artists and clothing companies to sell clothes in a unique way. Watching interviews and music videos and buying the celeb’s outfits with a click of a button.
